| Born and educated in England, Carol Sowerby worked on the leading edge of photography and graphic design with Virgin Records in the
late 60s and early 70s in swinging London. Always stimulated by discovery and hungry for something new, she abdicated from city life in 1975 and came exploring to Canada. Here she found not only adventure, but a husband as well, and spent many joyous years fishing with Tim off the wild westcoast, where she became well
acquainted with beauty and wonder in the everyday world of nature.
Now she has been called back to her love of photography and brings to it the experience of a life lived with grit and fascination. Today that fascination lies in the rich textures, patterns and minutae of the natural world. From gorgeous blooms to blades of grass, from the sky to the sea, Carol’s images capture and preserve for our comtemplation, glimpses of the wonders that are with us every day - if only we take time to look. |
